This Brief Urges the Supreme Court to Prohibit Federal Prosecutors from Acting as the "Super Expert" to Decide What is and What is Not Legitimate Medical Purpose: In other words, Prosecutors have been deciding what is a proper prescription for controlled substances while they have no training in medicine. PAA has urged the Supreme Court to require a criminal referral by each state licensing agency before a prosecution is initiated against physicians by "wanna be doctor" federal prosecutors
